Activities & Events In Oxfordshire 14th-15th July 2018

Sadly England didn’t make it through to the World Cup final this weekend but that won’t stop many of us from tuning in anyway.  If you want to escape from the football fever then check out this weekend’s events in Oxfordshire below.  We’ll be at the Xplorer event in Wantage on Saturday.  Hope to see some of you there!


  • The Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford.  Book tickets at
  • Xplorer family orienteering event at Wantage Memorial Park 10-12pm.  FREE
  • Culham 18 family festival.  Live music, Dog show, dancing, stalls, fun fair, bouncy castle and more.  11am-10pm at Culham Village Green.
  • Dalton Barracks Play day 11:30-3:30pm.  Face painting, tricky trails biking, fire play, junk modelling, drumming, bouldering wall and more.  FREE entry and all activities FREE


  • The Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford.  Book tickets at
  • Cholsey Silver Band will be playing at Castle Gardens in Wallingford 1-3pm raising money for the local scouts group.  There will also be a cake sale.

Ongoing Events

  • It’s Always Tea Time exhibition at The Story Museum, Oxford walking into the world of Alice In Wonderland.  Follow a picture trail, enjoy a tea party, listen to tales from a giant tea cup and take part in a variety of themed events.  Friday 30th March – Saturday 7th July 2018.
  • Artists Under Fire exhibition at Banbury Museum.  Prints, drawings and watercolours from the Ashmolean Museum’s collection depicting life on the front line during WWI.  Open daily Mon-Sat 10am-5pm.  Entry £5 for adults, £2 children (under 5s free).  Saturday 23rd June – Monday 27th August 2018.
  • Peter Rabbit:Mischief and Mayhem exhibition at The Oxfordshire Museum.  Discover original illustrations from the books and memorabilia.  Visitors can have fun helping Mrs Tiggywinkle hang up the laundry, visit Mrs Rabbit in the Burrow or help Peter Rabbit plant carrots!  Thursday 21st June – Friday 7th September.  FREE
