Activities & Events In Oxfordshire 16th-17th June 2018

It’s Father’s Day this weekend and there’s a great line up of events in Oxfordshire to celebrate.  From food festivals to music festivals and even a day of all things machinery, there’s definitely something to keep every Dad happy.  Do you have anything special planned?

Saturday

  • Didcot Colour Run in aid of Style Acre at Edmunds Park (Didcot) 10am-4pm.  Food, music and activities in addition to the main event.  Go along and show your support for this fab charity.
  • Wallingford town carnival starting at 11am with a procession at 1pm.  This years theme is ‘Lights! Camera! Action!’.  There will be stalls, fun fair, food, drink, live music and more.  FREE
  • Beacon Festival family music festival in Watlington raising money for charities.  Dedicated kids zone, 4 stages with music day and night, food and drink, workshops and demonstrations.  9:30am-2am.  Under 16s get in free.  More information here: https://www.beaconfestival.net/
  • British Food Festival at Stonor Park 10am-4pm.  Over 50 local and national food and drink exhibitors plus celebrity chefs including Mary Berry, demonstrations, tastings and more.  For kids there’s storytelling, strolling musicians, games and the Wonder Woods adventure playground.  Adults £10, Kids £6.50 or family of 4 £28.

Sunday

  • Fathers Day special event at Cogges Manor Farm 10m-4pm will include vintage and classic motorbikes, cars, steam engines, farm machinery and more.  Den building and live music plus craft ales will complete the day.  Whole family welcome, including dogs!  Normal admission fees apply.
  • British Food Festival at Stonor Park 10am-4pm.  Over 50 local and national food and drink exhibitors plus celebrity chefs including Mary Berry, demonstrations, tastings and more.  For kids there’s storytelling, strolling musicians, games and the Wonder Woods adventure playground.  Adults £10, Kids £6.50 or family of 4 £28.

  • East Hendred Open Gardens.  Over 20 private gardens will be opened to the public around the village, plus the Champs Chapel Museum will be open for visitors all day, along with the villages 2 churches and pubs.  11am-5pm.  £5 per adult.  Programmes available on the day.
  • The Moon And Me interactive theatre performance inside a special sensory dome at Cornerstone Arts Centre (Didcot) aimed at 2-5 year olds.  Shows at 11am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Ongoing Events

  • It’s Always Tea Time exhibition at The Story Museum, Oxford walking into the world of Alice In Wonderland.  Follow a picture trail, enjoy a tea party, listen to tales from a giant tea cup and take part in a variety of themed events.  Friday 30th March – Saturday 7th July 2018.
