Activities & Events In Oxfordshire 6th-7th October 2018

There’s lots of fun family events in Oxfordshire this weekend to enjoy with your family.  Whether it’s trains, museums, autumn activities or maybe a show.  Whatever you get up to have a fab time!

Saturday 6th October

  • Oxford Fun Palace open day at Burton Taylor Studio11am-3pm.  Fun free family festival of arts and science.  Make your own rocket, complete a treasure hunt, workshops and performances.  FREE
  • Day out with Thomas The Tank Engine at Didcot Railway Centre.  Meet Thomas and his friends as well as the Fat Controller.  Ride on your favourite trains and enjoy balloon modelling and storytelling sessions throughout the day.
  • Apple Day at Waterperry Gardens.  Sample and buy different types of apples and juices.  Craft and food fair, free tours of the orchard and fruit shed, kids apple anagram game in the gardens.
  • Operation Earth: Meet The Experts at Oxford University Museum of Natural History 2-4pm.  Meet scientists and handle objects.  FREE
  • Pick your own pumpkin at Millets Farm 10am-4:30pm
  • Great Western Brick Show at STEAM Museum in Swindon.  Lego extravaganza featuring models, displays, train layouts, hands on Lego fun and Lego shop.

Sunday 7th October

  • National Poetry day at Milestones Living Museum .  There will be imagination stations around the museum to inspire you to write your own poems.
  • Hey Diddle Diddle music and puppet show at Cornerstone Arts Centre, Didcot 2pm aimed at age 3 yrs+.
