ASDA Price Guarantee

If you shop at ASDA you will already be getting great savings, but do you know about the ASDA price guarantee?  If your shop isn’t 10% cheaper than Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons and Waitrose then ASDA will give you a voucher for the difference.

So how does it work?  All you need to do is go to the ASDA price guarantee website .  Type in the barcode number at the bottom of your receipt (see number circled in the screen shot below).

Asda price guarantee

Click the ‘Compare Prices’ button and ASDA will automatically compare your shop for you within a few seconds.  Today I did an average weekly shop at our newly opened local store.  I have just checked my receipt and received a voucher for £3.02.  ASDA WAS the cheapest out of all the comparison supermarkets but not by 10%.

To be eligible for this you need to have bought 8 or more items.  At least one of these items needs to be comparable with an item at the comparison supermarkets.  If you shopped in-store you can compare your shop 3 hours after you went through the check out.  You have up to 28 days to check your receipt.   You’ll need to have an ASDA home groceries shopping account set up to claim your vouchers.  Simply print them off from your account and take them with you on your next shop.  Make sure you have the original receipt with you or your voucher will not be accepted.  Don’t throw the receipts away!

If you shopped online an e-voucher will be uploaded to your account.  This can be redeemed and then used against your next online order.  It can take up to 7 days to appear in your account so don’t worry if it isn’t immediately visible. Your vouchers are valid for 28 days after you receive them.  Up to 10 vouchers per household can be claimed per calendar month with a total limit of £100.

So what are you waiting for?  Get checking those receipts. You could literally be throwing money away!
