Legoland hotel

Ever wanted to stay at the Legoland hotel?

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to stay at the Legoland Hotel Windsor?   I can tell you – It’s awesome!  We have been Lego fans for years and have always wanted to try out the Legoland Hotel but found it was far too much money, especially as we only live 45 minutes away so don’t really need to stay overnight when we visit the theme park.  Three years ago though we discovered a special event held at the hotel every February half term.  Let me be clear that the theme park is closed at this time so you cannot access any of the rides.  However, if you want to experience the hotel in all its glory then the Junior Builders Week is the perfect opportunity.

Due to the theme park being closed the prices are much cheaper than normal, starting at just £38pp.  The hotel hosts a number of special activities centred around a different theme each year.  We have attended the Lego Movie theme in 2015 and pirate theme in 2016 ( you can read our review of those here Legoland Hotel Junior Builders Week ).  We missed 2017 which was Ninjago theme.  This year 2018 is a Minifigure theme and Lois is desperate to go back.

Activities usually include a builders workshop (children each get a small set at check in to take along and build at this workshop), character meet and greets, treasure hunt around the hotel, giant brick mosaic building, evening entertainment/disco and more.  There is also a fab swimming pool on site which we loved.  The children will all receive a special certificate for taking part in the activities and an exclusive pop badge.

An added bonus for us is that standard rooms accommodate up to 5 people rather than the usual 4.  This is thanks to a trundle bed under the bunkbed.  This really is an affordable trip and such a treat for any little (or big!) Lego fans.

This is great and although we have been to Legoland twice we could not justify the price of the hotel during the high season. Thinking of booking a February half term break – my boys are lego obsessed 🙂 Thanks
