House of Fun is a holiday camp which is created and run by teachers at Thomas Reade Primary School in Abingdon. They are very excited to announce that in October half term the holiday camp is ‘going green!’ with its new sustainability initiative. ‘Trash To Treasure’ will include lots of fun craft activities around reusing and recycling with the help of local scrap store Orinoco. A professional art teacher will help inspire children with their creations.
The holiday camp will run Tuesday 23rd – Thursday 25th October 2018 for children aged 5-12 years old. Other activities on offer include tag rugby, football, cookery, street dance, ultimate frisbee and more. Alternatively for younger ones there is even a bouncy castle, face painting and an adventure playground. It sounds so much fun I’d like to go!
House of Fun follows the government recommended ratios of 1:8 for children under 8 and 1:10 for over 8s. Their cookery groups are capped at 12 children maximum. Other activity group sizes vary as children get to choose what activity they wish to take part in. Staff ratios are however adhered to at all times. House of Fun provides juice, water and biscuits for snacks throughout the day and children take their own packed lunch with them. You can book full or half days with extended hours available from 8:30am-6pm. Prices start at £35 for a full day.
