Lu-la’s Guide To Space – Book Review

We are celebrating the release of the brand new 2019 Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon with a fab new set of books from publishers Sweet Cherry.

Shaun The Sheep is one of Aardman’s iconic characters that everyone knows and loves.  We can’t wait to go and see the film. It sees Shaun going off on an intergalactic adventure to return an alien back home! Space has been a massive theme this year due to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings. All the different events we’ve seen has sparked a real interest for our children in outer space.

Lu-la’s Guide To Space is a fantastic book for children aged 6+ that’s jam-packed full of scientific space facts.  There are so many things we’ve learned from it. For example, did you know that Venus spins in the opposite direcrion to most other planets? Or that Mars is home to the biggest volcano in our entire solar system? It stands at 25,000 metres high!

The book is really colourful and the text is broken down into small sections, making it easy to read and less intimidating for young readers.  The characters from the Shaun The Sheep:Farmageddon movie feature throughout the book.  It even has information about Lu-la’s planet from the film and her spacecraft, which I think is great fun!

At the back of the book is a quiz so you can test your knowledge on all the things you’ve learned in the book. There’s also 2 pages of gorgeous glossy stickers featuring the characters from the film and a very cool poster!

We absolutely love this book. It’s perfect for any youngsters interested in space.  We think it’s out of this world! Also in the series you can find:
