In our house we read a bedtime story every night and the kids have their own mini library with a huge variety of books. When the opportunity came up to review The Rainbow Gnome we jumped at the chance. This is the first book written by Daddy blogger Luis Weston. The Rainbow Gnome is a colourful rhyming picture book aimed at young children. It has lovely hand-drawn pictures that are bright and cheerful. The story follows a little boy called Joe who goes on an adventure to find out where rainbows come from. He meets a number of animal friends along the way.
This book has a lovely magical feel to it. We love the rhyming through the pages. The characters are familiar garden creatures who step into a world of imagination when they meet the Rainbow Gnome. I love this story so much and we’ve really enjoyed talking about what garden adventures we would like to go on. A lovely book which we highly recommend.
